CHAPTER I  Regulation I/9 – Medical standards  Validity Period - 2 year - medical certificate; 1 year – medical certificate for persons under 18 yrs of age  Grace Period – Next port of call not to exceed 3 months  Content of the medical certificate includes  Authorizing authority, seafarer information, declaration of the recognized medical practitioner confirming the seafarer is medically fit for duty, any limitations or restrictions, signature of authorizing authority and signature of seafarer  PSC will inspect whether medical certificate includes the appropriate content Manila Amendments AMENDMENTS
