Terminal Objective ► ► Given Training Aids and instruction the Valve Services Technician will inspect and set up rotork actuators per instruction as demonstrated by participation in a Lab Practical Exercise.

Conduct Pre-job-brief ► What are the critical steps of the task I’m going to perform? ► What’s the worst thing that can happen and how can I prevent it? ► What else could go wrong? ► What are the safety and / or radiation protection considerations? ► Is my training and are my qualification up to date.

Two Minute Drill At The Job ► Why? ► When? ► How?

Discuss Set-up Activities ► Verify DCID ► Accept Permit ► Obtain Current Lube Points (CPXCOMP) ► Contact OPS for permission to Energize/De- energize the breaker ► Install Jumper & Local Control Switch

Discuss Stem Cleaning & Lubrication ► Record As-Found Valve Position ► Clean Anti-Rotation ► Clean & Inspect Stem ► Rising Rotating ► Rising Non-Rotating ► Return to As-Found Position

Visual Inspection ► Grease / Oil Leaks ► Crack in the Housing ► Flex and Connectors ► Fasteners tight and in place ► No distortion, Actuator, Yoke, Stem ► Actuator aligned with Stem & Packing ► Inspect Oil level & take sample

Visual Inspection (continued) ► Inspect Oil ► Metal, Color, Odor, dirt, emulsification ► Q/QAG Samples to Lube Lab ► Non-Q/QAG only suspect samples to the lab.

Electrical Inspection ► Limit / Torque Switch ► Inspect o-ring, presents of oil, moisture and cleanliness ► Inspect Vendor wiring, terminations ► Record Torque Switch settings ► Close Torque, Open Limit ► Open should not be on Boost, if so contact Team Leader

Termination Compartment Inspection ► Inspect o-ring, presents of oil, moisture, & cleanliness ► Inspect wiring for brittling, cracking, damage insulation and terminal integrity ► Rework if required per 32MT-9ZZ49 Appendix G Cable Repair (You must be Small Termination Qualified) ► Verify low resistance across Contacts < = 1 ohm

Limit Switch Adjustment ► 13JFWNHV0103 is wired differently than standard Rotork Actuators Reference 1,2, or 3-E-FWB-003 Contact Development for correct configuration ► Two types of switches A Range and NA
