(MTA) oBase structure design optimization (MTA) oOptimization of the Azimuth bearing at the level of the main interface: brakes,drives, base, encoders… (MTA) oOptimization of the design of the saddle, with respect to the assembly and disassembly phase (MTA) oOptimization of the layout of the elevation bearing. In particular for disassembly and assembly phases. (MTA) Encoder System design: technical meetings and discussions with the possible suppliers. Brake System design, including technical meeting with possible suppliers. Azimuth drive system design and optimization. Mechanical and electrical design. Elevation drive system design and optimization. Mechanical and electrical design. Technical meetings with possible suppliers for the Drive system.

(AASF) Receiver Cabin design optimization for production (AASF) Subreflector mechanism: new requirements from CRE#2: interactions with suppliers. Feed shutter design: technical calculations and drawing activity HVAC system optimization and new requirement analysis, material requirement selection: interactions with possible suppliers Power distribution network design: cables calculations, relevant protections and derating. Interactions with possible suppliers. High Altitude Analysis: interactions with possible suppliers of electrical/electronics equipment. UPS optimization and design w.r.t. the modified AZ platform. Analysis of the performances of the batteries. Antenna Control System: definition and optimization of the field elements. Block diagrams. Interlocks analysis. Technical meetings with possible supplier (in particular for software activities). General: analysis of the Technical Coordination Memos (from ESO); preparation of TCMs (to ESO).

The translation from ANSYS to MSC.NASTRAN has been completed ANSYS and NASTRAN main results have been compared and checked (frequencies, static displacements due to gravity) NASTRAN FEM of all different ALMA configurations have been obtained by rotation around both elevation and azimuth angle Gravity load cases have been performed Thermal load cases for constant temperature have been performed MASS AND BALANCE BUDGET Updating of 3d Model and Fem model with the new platforms

Analysis supporting deformation analysis/error budget computation ERROR BUDGET Updating of the model for error budget and new wind contribution analysis Error budget computation: Gravity cases (new FEM model) Error budget approach: Technical Note drafting Error budget software: further minor improvements

Contribution to equipment/subsystem specification Review of the available Safety inputs from consortium members EMC Updating of EMC Control Plan, in particular two analyses at system level are concluded: 1)Conducted emission of all equipments against susceptibility limit of single equipment 2)Same analysis for radiated emission and susceptibility The EMC specification was written in draft version and it is at the moment near a complete first version
