Type of poem that tells a story Poetic Element: Rhythm The rise and fall of the voice produced by sounds The “flow” or “beat” of the poem Poetic Element: Meter Sounds in a poem that fall in a particular pattern. In this poem, the meter is made to sound like a galloping horse. Da-da-Dum da-da-Dum

3 Rhyme Scheme DEFINITION: The pattern of rhyme between lines of a poem.
It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme. The rhyme usually refers to the last words of a line. Example (A,B,A,B) Bid me to weep, and I will weep A While I have eyes to see; B And having none, and yet I will keep A A heart to weep for thee. B
