Trivial or does not have a clear purpose Meaning is lost when taken from the source and placed on slides Presented in its original form as a/an Emotional speech Historical declaration Memoir Examples: Gettysburg Address, “I Have a Dream Speech”, Declaration of Independence

To Educate Present a topic, explain procedures To Persuade Advertise, sell To Narrate, Broadcast Messages, or Entertain Display name of students, words of a song or speech for audience participation, list of location changes at a conference, etc
