Order of Precedence  Formula operations take place in this order: 1.Negation 2.Percent 3.Exponentiation  Use parentheses to control precedence Lesson 3 =10+5 4.Multiplication or division 5.Addition or subtraction *430= =(10+5)*460= 5 is multiplied by 4, and then 10 is added 10 and 5 are added, and this total is multiplied by 4
