3. “No woman, no cry” was written and sung by Bob Marley in 1974. This song is a message of peace, because Bob Marley with this song wants to tell a girl that he loves the world and the people with all their defects, and he tells her not to cry for the badness of this world and he encourages her to go on without crying. In the song he uses some similarities and some memories to describe their hurt and there is a sort of encouragement for him and her because alone they can go on; then he says that she can survive also without him because she is stronger than him.

6. Jamaica today is very different from description of Andres Bernaldez, in fact the circumference of this island is grossly exaggerated, this is actually about 740 kilometres. Some green zones were transformed by the human hand. Today Jamaica is a country in serious financial crisis with a big inflation, this problem is caused by the hike in prices of oil, the same problem as in italy. This has deteriorated the social condition of Jamaicans.

7. Rastafarianism Rastafarianism is a religion and a politic movement. It was born in Jamaica in 1929 and it hasn’t got a founder but it was inspired by Marcus Mosiah Garvey predications and three Ethiopian pulpits : Leonard Howell, H. Archibald Dunkley and Joseph Nathaniel Hibbert. In 1930 all the people joined the coronation of Ras Tafari emperor of Ethiopia. He changed his name with Haile Selassie and he was proclaimed MESSIAH and personification of Jah (the name of God derived by Geova or Yahweh)

8. Bob Marley Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley) was born on February 6 th,1945 in Nine Miles, Saint Ann, Jamaica. His father Norval Marley was a captain of the English army. Her mother was black, she was from Jamaica. Marley started his career of musician playing Ska music, later started playing reggae (Jamaican music evolution of Ska) between 1970s and 1980s. Marley formed the reggae group “The Wailers” with Bunny Livingstone and Peter Tosh. Later Livingstone and Tosh left the group. Marley’s songs are famous because they made the reggae popular outside Jamaica. Bob Marley is also famous because he professed the Rastafari religion. In 1976 Bob Marley was victim of a homicide proved political. In July 1977 Marley had a form of skin cancer. Bob Marley dead on May 11th,1981 in Miami. He was buried in a crypt in Nine Miles. His premature death rendered his name a legend.
