Fibromyalgia is considered to be a musculoskeletal syndrome of unknown etiology, that includes several symptoms such as pain, fatigue, and depression Approximately 2% of the population is diagnosed with fibromyalgia

History of widespread pain that has been present for at least three months Pain has to be present in at least eleven of the eighteen predetermined tender point sites when 4 kg of force is applied
