2 Why is channel member support one of the major focal points of the manufacturer's promotional mix? –Most products are not sold direct to the final consumer and thus must be supported by the channel members in order to achieve the channel manager’s distribution objectives 12 Channel Member Support Objective 1:

3 Pull Strategies –Building strong consumer demand for a product to force members in to promoting the product because it’s in their best interest to do so.
