1. Regions of Georgia
Piedmont, Blue Ridge, Valley and Ridge, Appalachian Plateau, and Coastal Plain.

2. Coastal Plain
The coastal plain is the largest region of GA. It contains most of Georgia’s peanuts, cotton, and vegetable farms. This region is the location of where the first European inhabitants settled. They settled along the coast near savannah GA.

3. PIEDMONT
The Georgia Piedmont is located between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upper Coastal Plain. The Piedmont is 1400 kilometers long and 100 to 300 kilometers wide. Its lied on Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The North Western boundary of the Piedmont is the Blue Ridge Mountains. The South Eastern boundary is the "fall line". It is the most populated region of Georgia. It is the home of the state capital ATLANTA!

4. BLUE RIDGE
The blue ridge region consists of the tallest mountain in Georgia the Brass Bald mtn. It is also has the highest amount of rainfall out of all the regions. The Blue Ridge mountains are the southern most point in the Appalachian mountain chain.
FUN FACT! The Blue Ridge mountains were the first Gold rush site in American History.

5. VALLEY AND RIDGE
The Valley and ridge region consists of many mountain ridges and valleys in between them. Mining, farming, and textile/carpet are some of the important industries in the region. This region is located in the North western part of GA underneath the Appalachian plateau.

6. APPALACHIAN PLATEAU
The Appalachian Plateau is the smallest region in Georgia. It includes Dade and part of Walker county. It has narrow valleys and wooded rocky ridges including Lookout mountain. It is the only source of fossil fuel in Georgia.
