What is a CAB and why do we use them? Multi-Subsidy Discussion

What multi-subsidy do you have? Voucher in tax credit unit (reported to State housing corporation) Voucher in multi-family unit (submitted to TRACS) Market rent units PH and tax credit “floating” units How do you currently manage multi-subsidy? WinTen2+ features to help manage multi-subsidy

1. New unit model S8 and other properties are all in one unit file – when voucher holder selects property owned by HA, system can handle both rent calcs 2. Pulse (event notification system) informs other depts. about change in household Example 1: notice to vacate tax credit property and Pulse notifies S8 housing specialist Example 2: S8 housing specialist completes income change and Pulse notifies property manager and auto adjusts amount owed by tenant Example 3: Applicant submits RFTA for HA-owned property, system creates New Admission cert for both HCV and other property

3. Household Certification screen Shows ALL subsidy certs for the household and all subsidies the household is currently under 4. Household Info Storage Personal income/assets/expenses are entered once. Any subsequent changes to these personal records are updated throughout the system at time of certification AND approval of the corresponding Pulse notification. Income change presented > S8 HS starts cert and enters info > Pulse notifies multi-subsidy specialist of income change > multi-subsidy specialist “accepts” notification > income change is actually applied on second set of certifications.

TAR Changes Multi-subsidy tenant has separate accounts for each subsidy System updates each subsidy account each month using monthly initialization (generate charges)

What should Pulse notify you about pertaining to multi-subsidy situations? Any concerns about household info in one location? Any reporting requirements that we don’t address? (for example, internal reports at HA) What are your unique spreadsheets you use to manage multi-subsidy?
