Task – Shear Walls * Objectives: - Improve understanding of the cyclic behavior of full-scale shear walls of different construction - Expand upon City of Los Angeles project at UC-Irvine - Correlate with Task Shake Table Tests * 46 samples: 16’ x 8’, 6.5’ x 8’, 3’ x 8’ * Two large scale multi-story wall tests - 16’ x 17’ * Main test variables: - Gravity loads, nail types, grade of framing lumber, staples, hold-downs, aspect ratio University of California, Irvine
