Before you start changing the template, click Save As and give it your saint name. You will always have the original template to refer to if any errors are made.
You have the flexibility to add more information as needed.
Include pictures in the photo section.
Be aware of all of the little details, saint name locations, photos, font size, color, etc.
Remember the undo button at the top of the page, also known as the boo-boo fixer.
Nothing is permanent until you save. You will Save As first thing and then Save after that.
This will be completed in PowerPoint. While you are working on your page, you may save it to your flash drive.
You will receive information later on how to save on my web page or other source.

1894- born in Poland and named Raymond
1907- joined the Franciscans at age 13
Studied in Rome and was ordained
Had strong devotion to the Blessed Mother
Traveled to Japan and India to spread devotion to Mary Immaculate
Always carried Miraculous Medals to distribute
During second World War, he gave shelter to thousands of Polish people, both Christian and Jew
1941- arrested and sent to a prison in Warsaw, given a convict’s uniform and the number 16670
Sent to Auschwitz concentration camp where he endured very hard work and beatings
Secretly heard confessions and spoke to other prisoners about God’s love
Gave up his place in line for others to get food
As an example for someone trying to escape the camp, 10 men were chosen to die of starvation in an underground pit, Father Kolbe took another man’s place so the man could be with his wife.
Father Kolbe sang about Mary to lift their spirits while in the pit
After 2 weeks, he was the only one still alive, was then killed by injection and burned with the other prisoners
Died August 14, 1941
1982- Canonized by Pope John Paul II

As a young boy he had a vision of the Virgin Mary who offered him two crowns – a white one which meant he would preserve his purity and a red one which meant martyrdom. She asked him which he would accept. Maximilian said he would accept both. This changed him and became a Franciscan.
The man whose place Kolbe took in the starvation pit, Franciszek Gajowniczek, survived Auschwitz after spending 5 years, 5 months and 9 days there, and lived into his 90’s. He was present at the canonization of Father Kolbe at the Vatican with Pope John Paul II.
