Rounding Numbers means to shorten a number based on rounding rules Rounding is useful for estimating numbers Remember the TWO key rounding rules: 5 and higher, ROUND UP 4 and below, ROUND DOWN You apply rounding rules to the digit to the right of what you are rounding For example, If I am rounding to hundreds, I will look at the tens digit Remember the rhyme: “Knock, knock on the door, round up if I am higher than four”
