4 1. The Internet Development in China The rapid development of the Internet changes the life style of human beings profoundly. The Internet first came forth in America in 1969. It developed much more rapidly than all other preceding technologies.

In the developed areas, there is only little sex discriminations. In some less developed areas of the country, however, sometimes there are certain sex discriminations in the traditional ways.
