4 4 IME 375 Viacom vs YouTube March 14 - 2007 In the complaint, Viacom said YouTube's approach renders Viacom unable to protect its rights and harms its ability to profit from in particular "time- sensitive works," such as episodes of "The Daily Show" or "The Colbert Report," which have been appearing on YouTube as soon as they air, or first-run movies like "An Inconvenient Truth," which "appear in their entirety on YouTube before being distributed on home video."
