Be organized….coupon wallet or binder. You don’t need to spend 30+ hours a week couponing like on TV. Only buy items that you will actually use. ◦ Donate items close to expiring and not used to local food bank to rotate food. Most items go on sale every 6 months. Don’t clear the shelf, let others get a good deal too! You can find a coupon for just about anything….you just have to look.

Using both a manufacture coupon and a store coupon combined will save you double to money. You cannot use 2 manufacture coupons together for the same item or 2 store coupons but you can use 1 of each.

Check with your local grocery stores WalMart will ad match every day ◦ Just bring in the ad of competitor and cashier will match the price when you checkout Target used to only during the holidays but started everyday in 2013

Check with your local grocery stores WalMart in Utah County will double your coupons up to $1.00 but only on Tuesdays to stay competitive with a local grocery store ◦ So if you have a coupon that is.25 then they will double to.50 or if you have a coupon that is.50 they will double to $1.00. If you have a coupon for.75 they will only double up to $1.00 not $1.50.

Watch the expiration date ◦ I “clean” out my coupon wallet every week or two Look closely at the amount of items required to purchase and/or the size amount ◦ Any two items and at least 11.08 oz. for example
