4 Where things are Staff and student offices –on 4 th and 5 th floors above us Common Room R470 –4 th floor on far side of building –Place to eat lunches, Wireless computer access Late exit –Main door of building closes at 17.00. –Exit at later times by basement door at foot of main stairwell –No re-entry possible without a local

5 Computing Facilities Wireless (insecure) –Connection available in Lecture Theatre (R312) and Common Room (R470) –Network: pagla, Pin: 8fe674 (not 8fe6674) Secure connections –2 computers available in R514 –Plus secure, wired, connections for laptops –Login: crystalball, Password: Glasgow_07M

6 Lunches Free format, many eateries, restaurants and take-aways etc on Byres Road, Ashton Lane, Cresswell Lane etc. Can eat take-aways, packed lunches, etc in Kelvingrove Park or in the Common Room (R470) Dispose of litter in an appropriate place Make sure you are back for start of afternoon session

7 Collaboration dinner Today, 7.30pm, Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant, North Street, Charing Cross, for those who have booked in advance 44 people registered to go (check with me) Walking parties will be arranged from various locations Buffet dinner includes starter, main course, accompaniments, dessert, and tea/coffee, all for only £11.95. Drinks are extra. Each table should pay their own drinks bill at the restaurant Pay for meal at coffee break, if not paid already

8 Glengoyne Distillery Optional visit tomorrow, for those who have booked in advance 37 people registered to go (check with me) Bus leaves University Avenue promptly at 18.45 If you miss the bus, take taxi to Glengoyne at your own expense Tour of Distillery, two samples of differently aged Whisky, traditional 5-course Scottish dinner and Wine is included in price of £44.50 Pay at coffee break, if not paid already
