3 Project Objective To ensure a resource management system is put in place to support rapid IPv6 deployment in the region. To create a common system design within Asia Pacific region (APNIC and NIRs) for managing IPv6 address space.

4 Project History Yokohama, 7 December 2001 –Understand the differences between IPv4 and IPv6 allocation policies –Identify the common processes of allocating and assigning address space, viewed from both the registry (APNIC/NIR) and their members –Agreement to follow up with some system design proposals in Bangkok meeting
