1 Cell Theory All living things are composed of cells. Is a fundamental concept of biology. It states:All living things are composed of cells.Cells are the basic units of structure and function in living things.New cells are produced from existing cells
8 Prokaryotic Cells Can be found in.. 2. Archaebacteria – bacteria that can be found in extreme environments. Genetically different from bacteria. They can live in extremely hot, acidic or alkaline conditions. Like hot spring and salt lakes. They can also be found in more neutral areas but they are able to survive extreme conditions.
9 Differences Prokaryotic Cells Eukaryotic Cells No Nucleus: DNA is free floating in the cell.Small and simple organisms.Have a true nucleus and membrane bound organelles. Are larger and more complex than prokaryotes
10 Similarities Prokaryotic Cells and Eukaryotic Cells Cell membrane DNA CytoplasmRibosomesBoth meet ALL 8 characteristics of life
