BEYOND IMAGINATION This is Africa

LIVE THE EXPERIENCE The Wildlife Consortium PTY LTD invites investors and organizations to participate in an exceptional wild-life industry and to become part of one of the finest and fastest growing industries in the world. Apart from the extraordinary returns that this industry actually offers due to its constant growth, investors and organizations have the magnificent opportunity to experience Africa and its wildlife resources throughout a innovative wildlife management model which complies with the principle of conservation.

WILDLIFE INDUSTRY Sustainability as a goal

Wildlife Industry Biodiversity loss, one of the world’s most pressing crises, is directly proportional with human population growth. Today, it is estimated that the current wildlife species extinction rate is between 1,000 and 10,000 times higher than under natural circumstances. I.e. Under preservation or without interacting with humans. Mainly, because of poor wildlife management, the incorrect application of conservation approaches and the use of incorrect ones. It is a reality that as the dominant specie of planet earth, humans, according to their moral values, have the obligation of safeguarding it.

Wildlife Industry There is an enormous number of wildlife species –vertebrates, invertebrates, plants, microorganisms, etc.- in South Africa and the whole world that have been affected by deforestation, poaching, wars, contamination, diseases, amongst others. And although, it is a fact that the majority of people in the world are aware of this – the same majority that criticizes -, there is only a few that are somehow attending the problem with tangible solutions. E.g. with the support, application and practice of successful conservation approaches, research, and so on.

Wildlife Industry That is why, The Wild-life Consortium is born with the aim of studying and understanding the different variables –mostly economic- which motivate irresponsible initiatives that endanger the existence of wildlife resources. Moreover, with the aim of identifying wrong practices which threat resource output by affecting their economic value. Thus, the Wildlife Consortium aims to develop sustainable solutions that honor the principle of conservation in all of its exponential force and that are able to overcome these negative initiatives whilst subsisting together with modern-world economic-growth based models.

Wildlife Industry Furthermore, the Wildlife Consortium envisions the creation of a new- generation conservation model which allows wildlife management to secure profitability throughout the creation and maintenance of specie ecosystems. Also, through the subsequent peer-to-peer trading between agents that acknowledge the value of these resources and others which engage in other wildlife-related activities through approaches that guarantee the sustainability of these resources whilst utilizing them. E.g. Breeding, Safari, venison meat traders, et cetera.

Wildlife Supply Wildlife trading takes place in winter and spring due to weather conditions and in order to provide proper care for the animals through transportation. There are two ways for trading wildlife, the first one is by participating at the different auctions that take place every year from July to October, and the second one, is by a two part direct transaction (simple buy/sell transaction) with other particulars of the industry, which are; game breeders, game reserves, farm owners, etc. Either way requires a lot of experience in order to identify areas of opportunity which guarantee the sustainability of the resources.

Wildlife Supply If a transaction is conducted “peer-to-peer”, it normally takes between 15 to 30 days for the process to conclude. i.e. until the moment the resources are properly delivered at its new proprietors facilities. Considering that nature conservation needs effective proof of payments and sometimes, a veterinary blood test result (depending on species) in order to be able to issue a transportation permit or a province import/export permit, if needed. Trading at auctions represents an advantage in timing due to the presence of the needed staff and veterinaries.

PARTICIPA TING For responsible taste

Participants According to our wildlife management model, The Wildlife Consortium PTY LTD offers the opportunity to contribute towards the conservation of wildlife resources in Sub-Saharan Africa (See Bushvelt Dalma Scarce Species Fund information). Our financial structure´s aim is to enable our model to grow and develop by offering place for sophisticated participants that posses the power to guarantee the sustainable use of wildlife resources. Therefore, it is accurate to underline that The Wildlife Consortium is immensely committed into developing a “new and real economic value” for wildlife in sub-Saharan Africa as the solution to protect it from modern society. A value which in turn, has been negatively affected over the years and thus, depreciated by a cloud of destructive events. I.e. principally by shadowing the real wildlife-resource supply reality.

Participating/ Benefits The Wildlife Consortium PTY LTD provides all the required infra- structure, including; Land reserves, vehicles and facilities. Being part of a new-generation conservation model. Contributing towards the long-term securization of wildlife resources. Experiencing a high-profitability and socially responsible investment. Regular visits to the TWC Five-star lodge & facilities in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

Camp & Facilities Specialized Exotic Breeders has a 1,500 ha. Intensive camp breeding system with a fully electrified 2.4 meter high-fence. The camp area is divided into 6 different areas, in order to be able to efficiently work with different species of wildlife and their ecosystems. The camps are located in the beautiful extends of Rietfontein Farm (2,500 ha.), 60 kilometers from the city of Musina at the Limpopo Province. This area is well known for being part of Mapungubwe´s world heritage site and as “The Limpopo Conservancy”. 78% of the more than 10,000 privately-owned wildlife reserves in S.A. are located in the Bushvelt Region.

Camp & Facilities TWC captive-breeding area management conducts a daily basis operation which ensures the wellbeing of every single animal inside the camps. Monitoring the camp facilities and providing animals with the best quality feed and water is part of this daily operation. Static game cameras are used and controlled by camp management in order to efficiently monitor herds. TWC´s Five-star Lodge, staff and transportation will be available for every participant wishing to personally monitor or/and inspect the operation.

ABOUT US the genesis

THE TEAM/ How it began After many years in the wildlife industry as a P.H., Major Werner Pretorius, developed a solid knowledge and perspective towards wildlife. Before engaging into conservation initiatives, Major Pretorius had the ability to forecast the importance of the breeding activities as a key variable for a country like South Africa, together with the importance of complying with the principle of conservation in order to create a sustainable model. Today, M. Pretorius is part of the board of directors of TWC and is involved in the operation of this extraordinary wild-life management project. Moreover, his expertise is a key factor for the developing of new and innovative practices. After working most of his youth under cover for the South African police inside the anti- drug squad unite, Major Werner Pretorius decided to take a different path for the rest of his life and joined the wildlife industry as a P.H. and P.H. Academy Instructor 20 years ago. In the 90´s Werner bought his own farm at the Limpopo province close to Ellisras and started interacting with wildlife.

THE TEAM/ How it began Major Pretorius met Fernando Berdegué in 2003 in one of his visits to the United States of America and Mexico. Some years after, Fernando joined Werner Pretorius in a Safari at Mpumalanga province in South Africa after completing the Sutherland Wildlife and Hunting Academy P.H. course. Fernando had been previously involved in a Mule Deer breeding project in Mexico where he acquired most of his knowledge regarding wildlife. Werner and Fernando saw an incredible opportunity when they visited an intensive breeding farm at the Northern Cape Province for the first time in 2010. The farm had been breeding and trading vertebrates for over 8 years whilst generating extraordinary profits and thus, a first company, Specialized Exotic Breeders Pty. Ltd. Was finally created in November 2010.

From the board / TWC Pty. Ltd. We thank you for taking some of your valuable time in reviewing our statement of purpose. Please feel free to contact us for any further inquiries. It would be an honor for us if you want to participate in this extraordinary initiative and worldwide effort in protecting wildlife. Sincerely, Fernando Berdegué De Cima Major Werner Pretorius
