2.  Part I Crime decreased 5.3% from 2009-2010 (135,974 v. 143568)  All Part I Offenses had a decrease from 2009, except burglary (1.5%).  Multi-year (2006-2010) Part I crime continues to trend downwards.  The region’s violent crime trend is reflective of national trends.

12. The region continues to experience overall declines in Part I Crime offenses. The crime rate per capita continues to decline, despite an increasing population.

13.  Continued collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies.  Continued expansion of technology, including social media to more effectively engage the public.  Intelligence-led policing strategies.
