20 Cardio and Core Conditioning: 20 A cardio and core conditioning class that emphasizes constantly-varied, high-intensity functional movement. Focus is on cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, and balance to maximize performance and fitness. Additionally, students will monitor their fitness levels by participating in a fitness assessment 3x the semester.

21 Lifetime Sports: 21 Additionally, students will monitor their fitness levels by participating in a fitness assessment 3x throughout the semester. Lifetime sports are physical activities that people can enjoy throughout their lives. Lifetime sports are less strenuous sports such as tennis, badminton, and archery are suitable for people in all stages of life and can serve as physical and social outlets.

22 Team Sports: 22 This class will place an emphasis on participation in several team sports. Students will spend time learning the rules and regulations of each sport, practicing the skills to be successful at each sport, taking leadership roles as captains or officials, as well as compete in games and contests. Additionally, students will monitor their fitness levels by participating in a fitness assessment 3x the semester.

23 Strength Training: 23 Additionally, students will monitor their fitness levels by participating in a fitness assessment 3x the semester. This class designed to build strength, add definition, increase your bone density, and decrease your body fat by increasing your lean muscle. Research has proven by adding lean muscle to the body you can speed up your metabolism and burn more calories when you work out and at rest. You will use hand weights, plate loaded barbells, tubing and your own body weight to change the shape of your body. You will work every muscle in your body!

24 Group Fitness: 24 High intensity cardio intervals combined with strength and flexibility exercises to give your body a complete workout. Participants will get their heart rate up and tone every muscle in their body during this class. Additionally, students will monitor their fitness levels by participating in a fitness assessment 3x the semester.

25 Sports Medicine I: 25 This course is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in athletic training, physical therapy, medical science, nutrition or other related fields.

26 Sports Medicine II: Prerequisite Sports Med I 26 The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the measures for the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic related injuries.

27 Sports Medicine III: Prerequisite Sports Med II 27 Students will study basic anatomy as it applies to athletic injuries, protective equipment taping and bracing to protect the injured area and different theories of evaluation and rehabilitation techniques as they apply to athletic injuries. Problems such as nutrition, physical examination, wound care, environmental conditions and therapeutic modalities will be addressed.

28 Sports Medicine IV: Prerequisite Sports Med III 28 The class will consist of lectures, labs, and on-the-job training with sports teams of the school.
