3  User credentials to log onto a computer anywhere in District to access network resources.  Username is lastname.firstname  Once logged on you can hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to change your password if not prompted.  Password MUST:  8 characters combo of letters, #’s, and a special character – no dictionary words!  At least one capital  Required to change every 6 months  KEEP CONFIDENTIAL  Do not post or share!

4  We’ve Gone Google!  Google Apps for Education is a free suite of hosted email & collaboration applications just for schools.  Also can be used outside of the District. On the TUSD website Select “Google Apps” from Quick links menu or go to www.gmail.com or www.mail.thatcherud.org or www.google.comwww.gmail.com www.mail.thatcherud.orgwww.google.com

5  Communication is vital so please check it throughout the day (minimize window for easy access).  School Email is accessible through the Google Apps for Education program aka….

6  Google Drive is a cloud storage service that allows you to store your documents, photos, videos, and more online. From Drive, you can also use Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other applications to create and edit various types of files. Google Drive and Docs.  Each user has 25 gb of storage on their Drive

7  Network Storage is a sliver of space on a server located here at the District. Space is limited and it is intended for ONLY school data.  Each user has 1 gb of storage on their Z: Drive  Access through “Computer”  SO WHICH IS BETTER TO USE?

8  District & School –informational  Gateway to work orders, online forms and more. www. Thatcherud.org New Website Coming Soon!!!!!

9  Voicemail is available check regularly.  Can check from any phone  Email will also show up in your email  If delete from email, does not delete from phone and vice versa at this time.  To set up, select messages and then pin is 112233#

16  Gradebook – Online grading program  Can access at school or at home  Setup will be consistent throughout District  Class Websites for homework & announcements  Send emails to parents and/or students  One stop shopping for parents  ParentVue/StudentVue– Online Communication portal for parents & students  Grades, Attendance, Immunizations, Transcripts, Fees, etc  Parents/Students can contact secretaries to get accounts
