CELL PHONES AS PER SCHOOL POLICY, CELL PHONES ARE NOT TO BE VISIBLE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:30 AND 3:30. IF A CELL PHONE IS SEEN, IT WILL BE TAKEN AWAY. STUDENTS MAY COLLECT THEIR PHONE AT THE END OF THE DAY. THE 2 ND TIME THE CELL PHONE POLICY IS BROKEN, MR. SHEEHAN WILL BE NOTIFIED, AS PER POLICY.

BEGINNING CLASS ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE POSTED DAILY STUDENTS WILL COME IN QUIETLY AND BEGIN TO WORK

SHARPENING PENCIL IF SOMEONE’S PRESENTING, DON’T ASK, BECAUSE THE ANSWER WILL BE, “NO.” IF NO ONE IS PRESENTING TO THE CLASS, DON’T ASK, JUST GO AHEAD AND SHARPEN YOU PENCIL.

WHEN SOMEONE IS PRESENTING INFORMATION TO CLASS IF SOMEONE IS PRESENTING INFORMATION TO THE CLASS, LISTEN RESPECTFULLY, WITHOUT SPEAKING TURN SHOULDERS AND KNEES TO FACE THE SPEAKER IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE SPEAKER, RAISE YOUR HAND QUIETLY UNTIL CALLED ON

ASKING A QUESTION RAISE YOUR HAND. WHEN YOU’RE CALLED ON, ASK. IF THE PRESENTER’S BUSY, ASK ANOTHER STUDENT NEAR YOU, USING A VOLUME LEVEL THAT WON’T DISRUPT OTHER STUDENTS.

LEAVING THE CLASSROOM RAISE YOUR HAND AND PATIENTLY WAIT TO GET THE TEACHER’S ATTENTION. IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE, TURN YOUR HAND FROM SIDE TO SIDE, TO SIGNAL THAT IT’S AN EMERGENCY. IF YOUR TEACHER NODS, YOU MAY GO IMMEDIATELY. IF NOT, YOU’LL NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THE PRESENTATION OF INFORMATION IS OVER & PERMISSION’S GIVEN. TAKE THE APPROPRIATE PASS AND GET YOUR BUSINESS DONE. WASH YOUR HANDS & RETURN TO CLASSROOM PRONTO. HANG THE PASS UP & TAKE YOUR SEAT.

SOMEONE VISITS OUR ROOM IGNORE ANY EXTRA PEOPLE AND CONTINUE BEING AWESOME.

HEARING THE BELLS JINGLE UPON HEARING THEM, CLEAN UP YOUR AREA AND MAKE YOUR WAY BACK TO YOUR SEAT QUIETLY. SIT AT ATTENTION WITH SHOULDERS FACING THE TEACHER, LIPS TOGETHER, AND READING TO FIND OUT WHAT’S NEXT.

SURVEY QUESTIONS SOMETIMES YOU WILL BE ASKED WHETHER OR NOT YOU AGREE WITH SCENARIOS OR ANSWERS. IF YOU AGREE, YOU SHOW A THUMBS UP (WITHOUT TALKING). IF YOU DISAGREE, YOU SHOW A THUMBS DOWN.

DISMISSAL CLASS ISN’T OVER UNTIL THE TEACHER SAYS YOU MAY LEAVE. MAKE SURE YOUR AREA IS AS NEAT AS YOU FOUND IT WHEN YOU CAME TO CLASS. GATHER WHAT YOU BROUGHT WITH YOU, AND LEAVE QUIETLY WHEN YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION.

SPLITTING INTO GROUPS THERE SHOULD NEVER BE A TIME WHEN YOU VOICE DISAPPOINTMENT ABOUT BEING PAIRED WITH STUDENTS. WE ALL HAVE BFF’S, BUT IT’S NOT COOL TO HURT SOMEONE’S FEELINGS. IF THIS BECOMES AN ISSUE, I’LL GLADLY HELP RAISE SELF ESTEEM WITH “NEGATIVE” STUDENTS AFTER SCHOOL. THIS SHOULD BE A POSITIVE PLACE!!!

PHONE RINGING YOUR TEACHER SOMETIMES FORGETS TO TURN HER SOUND OFF ON HER CELL PHONE. (SHE’S KINDA A SPACE CASE) IF IT RINGS, IGNORE IT, AS SHE WON’T ANSWER IT ANY WAY. IF THE SCHOOL CLASSROOM RINGS, CONTINUE WITH WHAT YOU’RE WORKING ON. IF SHE NEEDS TO TALK MORE THAN 30 SECONDS, WORK OR READ QUIETLY, PLEASE.

WHEN HAUG’S ABSENT USE PROCEDURES THAT ARE USED EVERY DAY IN SAME RESPECTFUL, CARING MANNER. PLEASE MAKE ME PROUD, AS I DON’T MISS OFTEN, SO CHECK IN OFTEN WHEN I DO.

EMERGENCY ALARMS SOUND LINE UP AT THE DOORWAY QUICKLY & QUIETLY. LISTEN TO THE TEACHER (REMIND HER TO GRAB RED FOLDER, PLEASE) FOLLOW HER DIRECTIONS AS TO WHERE TO GO. STAND IN LINE AS SHE TAKES ROLL.
