As another value-add to our best producers, Athene has created the CARE program. CARE stands for Creating Agent Retirement Earnings and is a great way to supplement your retirement nest-egg. 9 What is CARE? It’s a supplemental retirement program (Creating Agent Retirement Earnings) to recognize top producers who produce quality business Specifically, it’s a non-qualified deferred compensation plan designed to help producers save for retirement by providing extra tax deferred earnings on new business sales. Contributions are above and beyond the additional value we provide – competitive compensation, incentive trips, Elite service, and more! When producers qualify, an annual contribution is added to a CARE account which grows with interest credits and any additional contributions earned. Funds are distributed at retirement (age 70), following a 5 year waiting period after separation from service or a hardship withdrawal. The plan is regulated by IRS tax code regarding these types of plans. Because they are designed for long term retirement savings, participants are not allowed access to funds beyond the plan document but their funds continue to grow. For Agent Use Only.

11 CARE Qualification Levels The 2014 plan has been restructured to better meet everyone’s needs: – We have broadened access and simplified vesting. – Qualification is based on both Athene IA and Athene DE annuity production (combined production). – Production is based on “net-new” annuity volume (new production less withdrawals) vs. other confusing formulas. – There are three qualification levels based on net-new annuity production 1.$1M- $1.99M in net-new production - CARE Silver 2.$2M- $3.99M in net-new production - CARE Gold 3.$4M+ in net-new production - CARE Platinum – Once the net-new business qualification level is achieved, there is also a check to ensure in-force persistency 90% of prior years’ in-force account value must still be in-force 1 For Agent Use Only.

13 CARE Persistency Requirement Below is the general formula that is used to calculate persistency for the 2014 qualification period: So, it’s that simple: First meet the net-new production qualification level then check to ensure in-force business is persistent! Time Period: January 1 - December 31 In-force Account Value at Beginning of Year (A) Less full and partial withdrawals during the year (B) Divide by the Original In-force Account Value at Beginning of Year (A) 90% or more of the in-force business on the books at the beginning of the year must be on the books at the end of the year (excluding deaths).
