VOLTAGE AND READING A VOLTMETER VOLTAGE: (VOLTS) = V: A MEASURE OF THE FORCE OR PRESSURE THAT PUSHES ELECTRONS THROUGH A CIRCUIT.

VOLTAGE AND READING A VOLTMETER VOLTMETER: AN INSTRUMENT THAT MEASURES THE FORCE OR PRESSURE OF ELECTRONS AT CERTAIN POINTS IN A CIRCUIT.

USING A VOLTMETER STEP #1: PLACE THE VOLTMETER NEAR THE SPOT IN THE CIRCUIT WHERE VOLTAGE IS TO BE TAKEN.

USING A VOLTMETER STEP # 2: DO NOT DISCONNECT ANY WIRES IN THE CIRCUIT. IT IS WIRED IN PARALLEL.

USING A VOLTMETER STEP # 3: PLACE VOLTMETER WIRES ON CONDUCTING CONTACT POINTS WITHIN THE CIRCUIT. BE SURE TO PLACE THE NEGATIVE TEST LEAD ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE CIRCUIT AND THE POSITIVE TEST LEAD ON THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THE CIRCUIT.
