(Currently working on extension in terms of the sectors (EUKLEMS) and capital assets covered using alternative sources). Belgium: 30 industries NACE Rev1, NA, 1970-2003, before 1995, 6 assets distinguished, after 1995 and introduction of software, 7 assets types. Data for industry cross-classified by asset type is confidential. Finland: 45 industries, NA, 1975-2003, 3/4 asset types. France: 42 industries, NA, 1959-2003, 11 asset types. Germany: 59 industries Germany 1991-2003, 30 industries Germany 1970- 1991, NA, 2 asset types. Ireland: 24 industries, NA, 1990-2003, 9 asset types Data for industry cross-classified by asset type is unpublished. Survey data for investment pre 1990, production industries

5 GFCF by ICT assets Austria: No ICT assets, computers cannot be distinguished from Office Machinery. Software included in Other products. Belgium: No official distinction between ICT assets and other equipment. Finland: No ICT assets. France: 3 ICT assets (Software, Computer equipment, communication equipment) Germany: No ICT assets Ireland: Software Italy: Computers cannot be distinguished from Office machinery, software included intangible assets. Netherlands: Computer hardware, software. No Communication equipment

6 Spain: ICT assets (Office machinery and computer, communications, software.) Sweden: No ICT assets by industry, totals for hardware, telecommunication, software. UK: No ICT in NA, software partly in intangibles partly in machinery and equipment. Investment surveys/SUT/Input-output can be used to derive ICT assets. Czech Republic: ICT assets (computer software, computer equipment open question) Hungary: Computer software, communications equipment cannot be Separated. No ICT in Service Surveys. Poland: No ICT assets Slovakia: No ICT assets. Software can be identified from intangible assets (SS) from 1998 Slovenia: ICT (office and data processing machinery, communication equipment, computer software).
