3. Where are we now? Nov. 06, 2008 B.L. Board approved participation in OSFC building project. Dec. 15, 2008 OSFC Controlling Board approved B.L. participation in building project. Jan. 07, 2009 B.L. Board officially selects the firm of Fanning and Howey as architect for building project. Jan. 13, 2009 kick off meeting held with architects. Jan. / Feb. 2009 meetings held with each building staff discussing building project. Jan. / March 2009 volunteers solicited for bond campaign.

4. Where do we want to be? February, 2009 complete staff meetings March, 2009 finalize bond committee memberships. April, 2009 begin canvassing local neighborhoods and hosting small community meetings. June, 2009 large scale canvassing and community meetings. August 04, 2009 Election Day!

11. What will my money buy me? Estimated project cost of $44 million. 50 / 50 split = estimated $22 million local cost share for tax payers. Renovations to existing 9 th – 12 th grade high school. Addition to high school to house 7 th and 8 th grade students. New pre-k to 6 th grade elementary. All facilities located at one site in Connersville. Provides efficiency not only in operational costs, but also in educational delivery. Other benefits are increased safety features and a pleasant learning environment.
