LOCATION B.C. is the 3 rd largest province of the 10 provinces in Canada; it is the most westerly province in Canada. Alberta,the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and the Pacific Ocean Border it. Has 2 big mountain ranges called the coast mountains and the rocky mountains.

CAPITAL CITY Victoria is the capital city of B.C.; it is located on the south coast of Vancouver island. The Government of B.C meets in the Parliament buildings in Victoria which is lit by 3300 small light bulbs every night since 1897. Victoria has a harbor, 2 straits,and the empress hotel which has has 481 rooms and has a garden inside this amazing hotel was built in 1908. The Empress HotelThe parliament buildings.

PLACES TO VISIT B.C. has over 20,000,000 visitors each year. People go to whistler mountain to ski, and to Okanogan valley for the warm weather. Stanley park is 1 of the biggest city parks in Canada,it has an aquarium,gardens, beaches, hiking trails, and totem poles which native people carved out of wood.

POPULATION Alot of people that live in B.C. have come from Britain, Western Europe, East and Southeast Asia, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Largest Chinese community in Canada. Home to the following Native Tribes; Tinget, Sekani, Haida, Nootka, Chilcotin, and Shuswae.

RESOURCES Forestry is largest industry; forests cover one half of B.C. Has largest and oldest trees in Canada. Mines: copper, coal, gold, silver and zinc. Largest fishing industry in Canada. Okanogan valley is the largest producer of apples, cherries and plums in Canada.
