2 Jurisdiction..Jurisdiction.. 5 The Rules.. In turn you will be asked to show your jurisdiction. Correct jurisdiction will get you 1 point. 8 Situation 1 Jon and Sarah go on Vacation to Guam (a U.S. territory) at the airport Jon makes a joke about hijacking the plane. The security guard (a federal employee) asks him to explain what he said. Jon refuses and pushes the security guard.

9 Situation 2 Juana is arrested for attempted murder of her boyfriend Dave. Dave works as a mail carrier for the US Post Office. 10 Situation 3 Lisa is convicted of growing marijuana in her house. The police acting on an unusually high electric bill set up heat sensing equipment from outside the house to search for heat signatures that would reveal heat lamps inside. The police used this as just cause to search and locate Lisa’s marijuana growing operation inside. The State court of appeals and the State Supreme Court have affirmed the trial courts decision. 12 Situation 5 Hamish leaves Illinois and travels with his friends Ian and Trevor to Las Vegas. When they get to Las Vegas they loose all of their money. In order to get enough money to get home they rob a liquor store and return to Illinois. 14 Situation 7 Knute, a resident of Minnesota is stopped by MN state police for speeding just after returning from Canada. The police tell Knute to get out of the car as they search it. They find illegal prescription drugs in his suitcase stored in his trunk. Romeo misses a shot and the bullet hits a camper camped several sites away. 17 Situation 10 Bojan is found guilty of 3 counts of 1st degree murder in the city of Bloomington, Indiana. A major piece of evidence was his videotaped confession in which he appears with a black eye, bleeding nose, and busted lip.
