20 Partners in improving local health So are we there yet? Not quite!. Great examples of good practice Parts of area doing a lot with MO priorities eg repeat dispensing, medication review, improving prescribing quality Well established networks: LPNs, AHSN, NESPM Need to join up system Lots more opportunities to use pharmacists. Many of the tools are already in the box but were not using them consistently! NHS Confidential / Protect / Unclassified - Slide 20

21 Partners in improving local health And finally.. Working together is key to all of this. Eventually if we don’t put all this in place we wont have the assurance that medicines are being used well, so investment in new medicines that will help patients will be much riskier Or if we do get it right, we can be assured that patients will use medicines well and therefore the price tag is much less important NHS Confidential / Protect / Unclassified - Slide 21
