Learning Targets  Learn strategies for TBTs and collaboration teams to develop aligned units of instruction for ELA K–12 and Math K–6.  Understand how units of instruction provide deeper learning for students when the standards work together to support higher level questioning and scaffolding.  Learn how to use the Common Core and PARCC materials that help teachers align curriculum, instruction and assessment.  Understand where to find no cost resources to support the development of units.

Awareness – teachers receive lists of standards, hear about components/goals (e.g. shifts, college career anchors standards) 2. Application – teachers work together on developing units [today’s workshop] 3. Embedded – evidence of common core standards through throughout the whole system (classrooms, students, parents, district wide)
