Quick Write/Sketch 3/2/05 These questions should help you with the quiz, answer them as your Quick Write/Sketch for today: –Draw a color wheel that shows the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. –Describe the following color scheme (or circle them on your color wheel): achromatic, chromatic grays, monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic. –Describe what the terms hue, value, and saturation mean. –Describe the difference between the additive and subtractive color systems and name the primary colors in each.

In-Class Assignment #9 (In case you need to remember…) Read and understand the webpage at: http://daphne.palomar.edu/design/color.html Create 6 quick files in ImageReady, showing your understanding of the 6 color schemes that Mr. Saw describes on the above web page. –Name the files with what it is that you are demonstrating, such as "achromatic.psd," "chromatic_grays.psd," etc., and save them in your "PSD_originals" folder. –Then resave each file (using the "Save Optimized As…” command) as a gif or jpg and put it in your "practice" folder (yes, you will have 2 copies of each file) Then create a webpage called "color_schemes.html" that has all your jpg or gif's and an explanation in your own words of each color scheme.
