2. About Link He is a 16 year old boy born 20-3-1977 Bradford, Yorkshire. Got 5 GCSE’s but couldn’t get onto a training scheme as they were all full. He got his nickname from a signpost in Thames link His dad ran off with a receptionist in 1991 He doesn't get along with his mum’s boyfriend (Vince). He leaves from his home town; Bradford and travels to London as he feels like he is an invisible outcast. Link realises finding a job isn't going to be as easy as he thought and he soon becomes homeless begging for money and trying to keep himself alive. Link makes good friends with this young boy called Ginger who helps him round the streets.

3. QUOTES “ You can call me Link. It’s not my name, but it’s what I say when anybody asks, which isn’t often.” This tells you that not many people ask him his name, showing that he feels he is ‘one of the invisible people’. “I took it, and that was my second mistake. Oh, I was thankful at the time, don’t think I wasn’t.” Link realises that London isn't what he expected and he was grateful for anything that came along.
