3 Bibliography Instructions:
Attached to your rough draft should be a list of all the sources you have compiled during your History Fair research. At this point your Bibliography does not have to be annotated. All sources must be in MLA format Please type, double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font, using hanging indent (be consistent) Divide all sources into at least two categories: Primary and Secondary Sources should be in alphabetical order Minimum of 15 Sources (5 secondary, 5 primary, 5 non-electronic)

PAPER!

6 PAPER Please write a full rough draft of your history fair paper. You must follow the following guidelines. Typed, Double-Spaced, Times New Roman, 12pt font Include page numbers and 1 inch margins The history fair rules require words. You should aim for a complete argument (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) even if it doesn’t reach the final word limit. Include a word count at the end of the paper (before the bibliography) Underline your thesis statement (for rough draft only) Include in-text or parenthetical citations

Create a storyboard of your documentary, demonstrating organization as well as images or clips being used. Attach a script of your documentary’s narration. Script should by typed, double-spaced and organized Minimum of 15 images/clips/slides on storyboard. The purpose of the storyboard is to demonstrate that you have carefully identified materials to incorporate in your documentary – in addition to the narrated script.

17 Exhibit Instructions Create a visual diagram of your exhibit board. Attach a draft of all written components that will be displayed on your board. In particular, you must include and introduction, conclusion and 3 complete captions for images/graphics that will appear on your exhibit board. total words. Include a word count at the end of your captions. Choose good images/graphics – ones that advance your argument. Here is a hint: if you don’t think there is anything to say or analyze about an image, choose a new image.

18 Exhibit Instructions Guidelines for Images Guidelines for Captions:
Title/ Description. One line/sentence under the image that serves as a title or description of the image. It should answer the questions Who? What? and Where? Cite the Image. Use a parenthetical citation to identify the origin of the image. This should directly follow the Title/Description. Guidelines for Captions: Each caption should be about 100 to 200 words Main Idea: What is the overall purpose of these supporting details or images? How do they help prove your thesis? Analysis. In your own words explain how this evidence (the images) helps to prove your argument. Use Analysis Key Terms Remember to cite any other information that you pull in from other sources. Tie Back to the Thesis
