Our Teddy-bear day was based on Elina Karjalainen`s fairy tale character Uppo-Nalle. Uppo-Nalle is series of finnish children's novels.
The main character in the books is Uppo-Nalle, an animate teddy bear. The bear was named Uppo-Nalle (Finnish for "sunken bear") because he was originally found underwater during a river cruise. Other characters in the books are a girl named Reeta, her grandmother, and their dog named Laulava Lintukoira (Finnish for "singing bird dog").

Our teddy- bear day started by watching a movie of Uppo-Nalle. It is a lovely movie, which based on Elina Karjalainen`s book. The movie tells about friendship,diversity, loyalty and tolerance.

After the movie watching we were having a discussion about movie themes (friendship, diversity, loyalty and tolenrance). After that the students came as “movie critics” and they criticized for that movie.

Then the students had four different groups where they discussed what they thought the movie was the funniest, saddest and most exciting. The students also submitted with drama those movie scenes for other children.

We were having lots of fun during we wrote the articles.

After that the students wrote a front-page news of the Uppo-Nalle. The students were able to use their own imagination and there came up with the funniest and most exchiting things of the Uppo-Nalle.

The students were also able to tell about their own teddy-bears. And so they got to practice the words skill and drama during the teddy- bear day.
