1. The Batyrevsky region. The Batyrevsky region. The Batyrevsky region is situated on the picturesque bank of the Bula river in the South-East part of the Chuvash Republic. In the West it borders on the Alatyr region,in the north –on the Komsomolsky region, in the east –on Tatarstan and the Yalchicky region. The Shemyrshinsky region is our southern neighbours. The area of the Batyrevsky region is not big. It is about 942 square kilometers, but it is one of the densely populated regions of the Chuvash Republic. The population consists of many nationalities:chuvashes, russians, tatars, mordvas and other representatives. The region is divided into 56 villages, where Batyrevo is the center of it.Each of them has its own biography and appearance. The main river is the Bula, which flows into the river of Sura.The highest point is in Chuvash Ishaky (180 m). Forest occupy about one third of the territory, there are pine and leafy trees. Rhythms of modern life did not ruin numerous islands of nature with stillness and its beautiful landscape. The soils are pale, grey and black (chernozem). The inhabitants of the region are hard- working and efficient. But they are able not only to work. Their wealth is endless.

7. Kokel A. A. Kokel Alexey Afanasevich [1.3. 1880, Таrhany Batyrevsky district — 4.2.1956, Kharkov] —painter, professor. He finished Normal drawing school in 1903, art school in 1912 on workshop of I.Е.Repin — D.N.Каrdovskyi. For a picture " In tea " was awarded with a trip to Italy. Kokel worked as a teacher.

8. Aigi G.N. He was born in Shaimurzino Batyrevsky district of the Chuvash Republic. He has finished Batyrevsky pedagogical school, Literary institute. Worked in a State museum of V.V. Маyakovskogo. His first poems were published in a magazine “The Yalav" in 1949. The first book was published in 1958. He is awarded with the premiums of the Hungarian Agency under the literature, theatre and music. Many poems and books of the poet are translated into different languages of the world.

9. Talvir A. He was born in Batyrevo, Batyrevsky district. He has finished the school of 2 steps. He studied at the Moscow university but he didn’t finish it. During the Great Patriotic war, he was the military correspondent of the newspaper. The first story — « In cold winter » — was published in 1929 in Moscow by the separate book. He published about 30 books. The most famous books: the stories «you will be an engineer», «a Silver grain», « my factory », novel «The Base». The main theme of his work is: participation of the Chuvash people in revolutionary movement, formation of a working class, development of a socialist industry in Chuvashiya.

10. Yuhma M. He was born in the village Suguty Batyrevsky district of the Chuvash Republic. He has finished the Chuvash state pedagogical institute. The first book - story «Oxana» - was published in 1962. He published about 90 books. His works are translated into more than 100 languages. For the books «the White bird of happiness» and «Cheboksarsky bogatyr» he was awarded by the republican premium «the Volga bogatyr». He is the winner of the premium of All- Union literary competition «the Earth and people», the Russian literary premium. The writer has created the historical novels, collections of legends and myths, eposes.

11. Tabakov A.P. Was born on February 6, 1920 in Batyrevo Batyrevsky district of the Chuvash Republic. In 1939 he finished Batyrevsky pedagogical school. He took part at the Great Patriotic War. He was the participant of the Victory Parade in Moscow, in 1945. He is a completed holder of the order of Glory

12. E.Z. Feizov Feizov Enver Ziаtdinovich was born on April 30, 1928, E.Z. Feizov has finished Batyrevsky pedagogical school in 1946, and then - Kazan pedagogical institute. Scientist, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor. He is widely known among the scientist of Russia as the researcher of problems of a brain and consciousness. His famous work is published as a monograph « a Brain, the mentality and physics ».

13. L.A. Sorokina Ludmila Alexandrovna Sorokina is children's poet. She works as a teacher of the Chuvash language in Batyrevsky secondary school №1. She has written many children's verses in the Chuvash language and has issued some books with the poems. She devotes her poems to the dearest in her life – for children.

14. G.G. Lomonosov Was born in 1932, Suguty Batyrevsky district. He is the doctor of engineering science (1972), professor. He is the author of many scientific works

15. Akhmeyev G.N. The doctor of economic sciences, professor (1978). Was born on September 17, 1930, in village Yanshihovo. On ending a historical department of the Chuvash state pedagogical institute (1956), senior lecturer of faculty of political economy and them by dean of economic faculty. He died on April 3,in 1984 in Cheboksary.

16. V. Davydov-Anatry He was born on December 26, 1917 in the village of Pervomaysk in Batyrevsky district. Worked as an editor in Pervomaysk regional newspaper, then in Chuvash book publishing house. His first poem is «Summer beauty » — was published in 1936. Since 1951 he has published about 40 books, from them 8 books in Russian. The poet, except poems writes the stories, sketches, fairy tales, articles. Many poems of the poet are shifted by the Chuvash composers on music. He writes for children much. « A Sateen shirt », « the Small friends »are favourite books of children.

17. Denisov P. V. He was born on August, 1928 in the village of Bahtygildino in Batyrevsky district. The doctor of historical sciences, professor.

18. Ismukov N. A. Was born on March 2, 1942 in village of Pervomaysk in Batyrevsky district. The doctor of philosophical sciences, professor. Has finished the Ural state university in 1967.

19. DEVERINSKAYA ALEXANDRA Temofeyevna (1960). Born in Pervomayskoe. Graduated from the Chuvash Pedagogical Institute (1981). In 1981 in Leningrad she established a world record in the USSR Championship in walking for 5 km. In Spain, at the World Cup she took the2 nd place in personal and the1 st place in team classification.
