6 Communicate with Public & Media Public (Facebook & Twitter)  Weekly: Programs, Club newsletter, Meeting highlights  Monthly: Special events, Scholarships, Special Speakers/Programs, Gifts Media (Phone, Email, Facebook & Twitter)  Monthly: Scholarships, Special Speakers/Programs, All Gifts with Photos  Quarterly: Large gifts, Community & International Projects

7 Build Relationships w/ Local Media Ask your membership who can introduce you to news directors THEN call them and take them to lunch Provide Press Releases via email & twitter Comment and converse with local news media on facebook and twitter Have members who have strong relationship with media submit your news releases

8 Follow up, Follow up, Follow up Send your release to news media Call the person to make sure they received it Ask them if they can run your story/release Follow up with a thank you for running The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
