1 The Appearing Grace of God
A Study of Titus 2:11-15 All Scripture quotations from the English Standard Version

2 God’s grace allows salvation for all people (vs. 11)
There is no holy race today… People comes from “anthropos” meaning “human beings”. God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 17:30) God desires all to be saved (1 Tim. 2:3-4) Those baptized belong to God (Gal. 3:26-28)

3 God’s grace allows salvation for all people (vs. 11)
Grace is not universal salvation. Paul did not mean all people are saved regardless of their obedience or not. We must obey Jesus (Heb. 5:9). If Universal Salvation is true then why evangelize (Matt. 28:18-20)? Why would Jesus require belief (Mk. 16:16)?

4 God’s grace is a training grace for His people (vs. 12)
Just say “NO”! Training or teaching means “educate or discipline” God’s grace demands Christians to stay away from ungodliness and worldly passions. We are to “put to death” worldliness (Col. 3:5-6) Christians who practice sin will find God’s wrath

5 God’s grace is a training grace for His people (vs. 12)
Just say “YES”!!! Say yes to living a self controlled, up right and godly life. The present age literally means “present life”… We are not to become partners with those who are ungodly (Eph. 5:7-15).

6 God’s grace is a training grace for His people (vs. 12)
Do not become partakers in the sin with others. God’s grace trains us to say yes! Seek the Kingdom of God first (Matt. 6:33).

7 God’s grace teaches patience (v. 13-14)
God’s people are to wait patiently for their blessed hope. The Greek for waiting often carries the idea of eagerness. Paul instructs the Thessalonians to do the same (1 Thess. 5:7-11). We are to encourage one another by assembling together (Heb. 10:24-25). We can be like the first century disciples and study together (Acts 2:42).

8 God’s grace teaches patience (v. 13-14)
Our blessed hope is our God and Savior Jesus Christ Some have taught that Jesus is no longer God after He became man. Jesus Christ is more than just a resurrected prophet….He is God and our Savior! Jesus gave Himself that we might escape the wrath of God and be cleansed from our sins (Psalm 130:1-8).

9 God’s grace teaches patience (v. 13-14)
Jesus Christ purifies his people so they are able to be zealous for good works. Christians were appointed to good works before the foundation of the world (Eph. 2:10). James teaches us that our faith is worthless without doing good works (James 2:26).

10 God’s Grace appeared to us once…we either accept this grace or we reject it …it is our choice… what will your choice be today?
