3 Institut für Kern- und Hadronenphysik Current Test Setup TV camera 2 Scints, 50 cm apart, RPC in between isobutane, SF6, R134a available, mixer available 20 signal cables (5 in use), 50 m 10 HV cables (5 in use), 50 m CAEN HV module: – 15 kV (2) – 8 kV (4) – 4 kV (several) DAQ, FEE similar to GSI/FOPI requirements 16 channel ADC, TDC (25 ps VME, 50 ps CAMAC) CAMAC/VME interface, MBS System RIO crate controller controlling: linux/ethernet LEA, etc. (cf. webpage of R. Need your specs as request wrt –goal of the measurement –time (1 week, 2 weeks) –date (earliest, latest) –other requirements, setup etc. Need this in writing (email will do for now) to Frank Dohrmann or Roland Kotte. Decision on beamtime distribution has leader of ELBE, Dr. P. Michel.

5 Institut für Kern- und Hadronenphysik Take in mind Energy 20 MeV (40 MeV in 2005) Currents up to 1 mA No multi user mode possible No 24 h mode yet (currently, mornings are for machine dev.) Access turnaround 30-45 min (due to radiation protection regulation)
