Of that number, 3,961 (24.23%) of the students tested, scored LEVEL 5 in BOTH Reading for Information and Applied Mathematics. In 2005, 17, 873 took the exam, and 4,442 scored Level 5 or above. –an Increase of 527 and representing 25% of those taking the test. In 2004, 16,346 students took the test in 2004.
