2 Workshop Designed for teachers and administrators of AOHT who would like to take their academy to the next level. Objective Participants will learn the basics needed to open a student run travel agency with hands-on activities and case study.

5 Staff ~ Hours Staff ~ Hours  School agency open one hour per academy day  One paid internship for Senior

6  Travel for school staff and student families only  Request forms filled out, and turned in a minimum of 4 weeks in advance.  Approval signature required  Client Tracking Log Trip Planning

7 First source of revenue, Annual Membership in Destination Club. Members fill out a trip form and students do trip research and arrangements. Destination Club

8 Second source of revenue are commissions for hotels, car rentals, tours, cruises, etc. Fees are charged for airline bookings.Commissions/Fees

9 Destination Club Membership $20 annually x 50 members=$1000 Commissions $150 x 300 hotel rooms x 10% = 4500 $50 x 20 car rental days x 10% = 100 $800 x 4 bus trips x 10% = 320 Airline Fees $15 x 200 tickets = 3000 Total Income = $8920Income

12 Assessments Assessments for work in the agency were tied to the Academy course work. Exams Reviews Group projects Scrapbook pages Customer response sheets

13 Portfolios Portfolios were developed over all years in Academy. For each event, students completed a write up and filled out a form. Events included: Fam Trips Banquets Job Shadow Family Vacations
