3 Quality Education for a Healthier Scotland Aim of Knowledge into Action Convert knowledge into decisions and actions to deliver better health and better care – by integrating into health and care services an iterative knowledge into action process, and sequence of knowledge into action methods and activities.

4 Quality Education for a Healthier Scotland Vision “A national network, combining learning technology, content and people, which will improve outcomes for service users, carers, and communities, by helping people to access, create, share and apply knowledge in frontline practice and service improvement. “ This collaborative network will provide a portfolio of services which deploy knowledge to inspire and spread innovation and improvement for better outcomes..”

Applying Knowledge into Action Evaluation Framework to: Support for Sepsis Collaborative Clinical Pathway Toolkit Clinical Decision Support Support for Palliative Care Practice-Based Small Group Learning. Use of Mobile Knowledge Portals in clinical settings.

12 Quality Education for a Healthier Scotland Changing Context in NES Review and organisational change / restructuring: Digital Services Knowledge into Action Delineation and separation of these areas; establishing new relationships between them. Aim - greater coherence, strategic and operational coordination across digital and KM “silos” in NES. Future shape of services and future plans still to be defined. Transitional arrangement while reorganisation underway. Commitment to sustainability and “no detriment” to current services while new service model is developed.
