2 Hosting District and Region Events District hosts are determined at the various district planning meetings for each sport. Region hosts for team sports (i.e. football, basketball, etc.) are determined by the setup of the playoff bracket. Region Cheer is bid in the same fashion as State Final Events Region hosts for individual sports (i.e. swimming, wrestling, cross country) are selected from volunteer applicants before the start of the season.

8 How your Community Benefits when you Host Wrestling Region - Charlotte HS 1,616 in attendance 944 Spectators, 224 Wrestlers, 448 Coaches/Team Personnel 2/3 spend night (1,077 people) $239,094 generated in local revenue (gas, food, hotel, etc.) $2,236.57 generated in bed tax $89 room x 359 rooms (3 per room) $241,330.57 = Total Economic Impact Swim and Dive Region – Lincoln Park Academy 1,138 in attendance 903 Spectators, 160 Participants, 75 Coaches/Team Personnel 2/3 spend night (759 people) $168,498 generated in local revenue (gas, food, hotel, etc.) $1,576.19 generated in bed tax $89 room x 253 rooms (3 per room) $170,074.19 = Total Economic Impact
