2 Where and when were you born? l I was born February 7, 1812, in Portsmouth,England.

3 What were the houses like? Rich people houses, were very big. Poor people houses were little and poor. Workers’ houses had only a little kitchen and two rooms. They were made of stone.The rich people houses had two floors and they were nice, with a lot of windows and with a lot of details in the walls.

4 How did people use to dress? Men used to dress in a T-shirt, trousers, vest, raincoat and a hat Women used to dress in dresses. They used confortable clothes

5 How were life conditions? Poor people lived badly, but rich people lived very well, they ate everything they wanted and they dressed very well too. Poor peopleRich people

6 Usually, schools were very poor, because there weren't schools for rich people. The rich people had a teacher for them. Poor schools had wooden desks, and they wrote on a little blackboard. How were schools?

7 What were the main jobs? A lot of people worked in industry

8 What is the Realism? It was an artistic movement that began in France. The Realim is the opposite to the Romanticism. The fathers of Realim were two writers from France: Balzac, and Sthendal from century XIX. Their best works were: The human comedy, Red and black and Chartes house of Parma

9 Charles Dickens Charles John Huffam Dickens was a famous writer of the universal literature at the Victorian Era. He was born the 7 th February of 1812 on Portsmouth and he dead the 9 th July of 1870. His father's name was John Dickens and the mother's name, Elizabeth Barrow. His mother was of the middle class and his father drag duds. Dickens didn't receive some education at the 9 years old. With 12 years old he began to work, then, the worker life of Dickens began. In 1832 he was contracted to work with the journal MORNING CHRONICLE, with the work of politic journalist. The 2 nd of April 1836 he had married with Catherine Thompson Hogarth, and he moved to Bloomsbury, they had 10 children. In 1836 he accepted the work from editor of the BENTLEY'S MISCELLANY what he maintained to 1839. In 1856 his popularity increased, and he bought the Gad's Hill Palace. Then, he was considered a big social writer. He met Alejandro Dumas and Julius Verne in his travels to Italy, Swiss and France. Dickens has separate from his wife in 1858. The 9 th July of 1865, when he return to France to visit Ellen Ternan, Dickens had an accident, the famous Staplehurst's train crash, but Dickens survive. Dickens couldn’t forget that crash. He dead the 9 th July of 1970, because he suffered an fainting and he couldn't recuperate.
