1 Tribes By Beth Y

2 Amazon rainforest is one such place, with Brazil having the most number of indigenous tribes. The forest not only provides sanctuary to millions of plants and animals but is also home to many indigenous tribes. Even though the population is thinning in these tribes still their loyalties with their roots are as intact as ever. For people living in the technological world, the lifestyle of these tribes is nothing less than a shock, on the other hand, experts in the field believe that these people willingly choose to avoid us, civilized being, for unknown reason, one of which might be that since companies and countries had gotten in to their habitat they have caused more pain than gain like diseases and logging the forests.

3 How do tribes survive in the rainforest? The survive by using the plants and trees in their surroundings to help them. they feed on nuts, berries, bananas, coconuts and other fruits they eat deer, fish and any kind of animal that has good meat on it there are lots of animals in the rainforest that are edible but some can be poisonous like snakes, frogs and so on They also use different herbs to make medicines

4 WHAT DO TRIBES EAT? Tribes eat a variety of bugs and insects also wild boar and pig they also eat leaves and sugar barley They also eat Yucca Yucca plants are grinded up to make a meal called farina. As yucca grows, it is cultivated into a bush- like plant, whose fibrous root is the edible part. Yucca, also known as cassava, is a white, starchy tropical vegetable that was originally grown by indigenous people. These people used yucca as a dietary staple, typically milling the yucca into flour or making a paste from it. Knowing when to harvest the yucca plant is a very important thing. If it is harvested too late, damages to the root occur, such as rotting roots or the roots turning into a wood- like state. Methods for cooking yucca can be: Boiling it then covering it with onions and garlic then soaked with butter or vegetable oil, Frying the yucca in canola oil until its golden then lightly shake garlic salt on top of it, Adding it along with potatoes and other vegetables into beef-based-soups.
