3 Creating Student accounts Select the Students tab

4 Select Create a new student

5 Fill in the required information (fields with red check) and any other desired information For the Logon ID, you must use the student’s 10-digit Georgia Test ID Tip: for the Student Identifier, fill in with the same info as used for the Logon ID

6 Select the school to which the student belongs and then click Submit

7 Creating Teacher accounts Select the Administration tab

8 Select Create a new teacher

9 Fill in the required information … Note: Passwords for teachers/administrators must be a minimum of 6 characters.

10 … then select the school to which the teacher/administrator is assigned and click Submit

11 Importing of Data Three files needed: student, teacher class Files need to be in comma or tab delimited format See OAS Roster Import Guide for specific information on file formats.

12 Once files are created, select the Administration tab to verify and then import the files

13 Select Import Center

14 Select Create new import job

15 Select the type of file you are importing: Classes, Teachers, or Students; select the File Format (TXT or CSV)

16 Class file: select Classes, then click Browse

17 Once the class file has been located and is showing in the Browse box, click Add Class File

18 Continue with the Teacher file: Select Teachers and select the file type Click Browse and find the teacher file to import Once the teacher file has been located and is showing in the Browse box, click Add Teacher File

19 Continue with the student file Select Students and select the file type Click Browse and find the student file to import Once the student file has been located and is showing in the Browse box, click Add Student File

20 With all files selected, click Verify

21 You will either have a message of true or false

22 If false, view log to see what caused the problem; then delete the file from the import tool, correct the file, reimport the files, then verify again.

23 Once files are verified as True, click Schedule

24 Set the date and time for the import to run and the click OK

25 Until the import runs, changes can be made to the scheduled date and time. Click on Modify an existing import job to make any needed changes

26 Click on Edit job if you need to make a change to this schedule; click Delete Job to remove it completely

27 If you click Edit Job, you will be able to amend files prior to import. If you click Delete Job, you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the job.

28 System-level reports Can see results for a test across the RESA, system, school, or class Can “drill down” to see an individual student’s results Can also get a list of all administrators, teachers, and students in a school

29 Select the Reports tab

30 From the Report menu, select the category of report you want to view

31 Select the level at which you want to report and click Next

32 Select the level of detail needed in the report and click Next

34 For a list of IDs/passwords for students, teachers, administrators in a school, select Test Status and Information Reporting

35 Select User Information Log by Location

36 Select the plus sign beside the name of the RESA

37 Click on the plus sign beside the name of the school system

38 Click in the box to the left of the name of the school

39 Click Next

40 Click Generate Report

41 You will see a list of IDs and Passwords for the school you selected

42 Creating Super Classes A “super class” is defined as a class consisting of all students in a given grade level across a school, system, and/or RESA.

43 To create a Super Class, select the Classes tab

44 Select Create a new super class

45 Fill in the required information; click on the plus sign beside the name of the RESA (if logged in at the RESA level)

46 Click on the plus sign beside the name of the school system(s)

47 Click in the box to the left of the name of each school that you want included in the super class; then click Submit

48 Tests can then be created and assigned to super classes – To create a test, select the Tests tab

49 Select Create a new test

50 Fill in required information as well as any other options, then click Submit.

51 Select whether you want items from the Level 3 item bank, the level 2 item bank, or both

52 Select the subject

53 Select the grade level

54 Select the Standard Note: All ELA and Math items for Grades 1-8 have been realigned to the new Common Core Standards (CCGPS); items can be selected by Standard and Sub-Standard. Other subject areas remain aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) where Domain, Standard, and Element can be selected.

55 Select the Sub-Standard

56 Select Show Items

57 Click to put a check next to any item you want to include in the test

58 Click Add Selected to Test when all items have been selected

59 When all items have been added, click Create Test

60 To assign a test to a super class, from the Classes tab, select Assign Test(s) to a super class

61 Select the name of the class

62 Click New

63 Select tests to assign and select any other assignment options.

64 Note: Tests can be assigned on Mondays- Fridays during certain hours by specifying dates and times in the Dates Test(s) can be taken and the Time Test(s) can be taken areas. For example, if times of 8:00am and 3:00pm are entered, then the test is only available during school hours for the specified dates.

65 Click Submit when all options have been entered/selected.

66 Search for students, teachers, and/or tests: Select the Administration tab

67 In the Search for Teachers field, select the search method (Name, ID, both), type in any select criteria, then click Search

68 The results of the search will be shown.

69 Use the same process to search for students (from the Students tab)

70 .. And for tests (from the Tests tab)
