T h i s w o u l d h a v e p r o v i d e d e x t r a s u p p o r t w h e n t h e b r i d g e ’ s t w o s u p e r - s t r u c t u r e s b e g a n t o w a r p. Picture shows no members spanning the top of the bridge, which lead to failure.
