How do we resist? 6.We want to participate in public life. How do we get the wisdom to do it? 7.We want to make a wise financial decision. What is the best path to take?

2. The Help For Becoming Complete Proverbs 4:20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. 6 The Laws of Learning Edward Thorndike 1874-1949

1. The Law of Readiness 20a My son, pay attention to what I say; Are you ready and willing to learn from God? Do you want success? Do you want to do the right good thing Proverbs 3:1,2 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.

2. The Law of Truth 20b listen closely to my words. Mt 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Mt 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Get it right the first time. UNlearning is a huge burden.

3. The Law of Practice (Repetition) (Sticky Truth) 21a Do not let them out of your sight; Meditate day and night. Practice it over and over. Drill it into our head so it gets to our heart. Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

4. The Law of Impact 21b keep them within your heart “Treasure the words of God in the Center of Action (heart) in your life.” Expect things to happen from your learning Keep your eye on putting the learning to use. Psalm 119:11 Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.

Theme Maturity becomes our reality when truth becomes our way of life.

5. Law of Progress 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Let the fruit of your leaning be evident Psalm 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
